Like Sierra Leone, Liberia is perhaps best known for its diamonds, where the traveller will find unique tropical wildlife, but also pristine sandy beaches and the bustle of Monrovia. In this short tour, we've put together the best bits of this stunning West African coastal nation.

If you want to continue your journey deeper into Liberia, we recommend a few extra days. This will give you time to see the city of Robertsport, Monkey Island of chimpanzees freed from pharmaceutical laboratories and the diamond mines of Liberia. The most adventurous will travel across the country to the historic town of Harper!

Day 1

Arrival at Monrovia airport in the Liberian capital. The airport is located about 55 kilometres from the city centre. Accommodation in Monrovia.

Day 2

The difficult road conditions in Liberia make day trips from Monrovia difficult, but the charming beach village of Marshall, east of Monrovia, is accessible as a day trip. A day's drive takes about four hours. We return to Monrovia for the night.

Day 3

Today we explore Liberia's bustling capital Monrovia, located on the Atlantic coast. The city is named after the United States president James Monroe and there is still a lot of American influence in the city. Today, Monrovia is home to more than one million Liberians. In the evening we will transfer you back to the airport.
